Tokyo Metropolitan Edition of the Blue Seafood Guide

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Sailors for the Sea Japan have a comprehensive agreement. As an initiative within this framework, the BSG Regional Edition was published. Collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has made it possible to provide detailed assessments using local data that are not visible in the data published by the Fisheries Agency.

The BSG Tokyo Edition introduces sustainable seafood from Tokyo that have passed the BSG's selection criteria. It also introduces Blue Seafood sold at Toyosu Market, one of the world's largest fish markets.

Tokyo's fishing industry operates in Japan's largest EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone), mainly on islands such as the Izu Islands and the Ogasawara Islands.
